Murdoc's Top Ten
Maxim, June 2001
I’ve been knocking around on the road in America for the last week hunting down my Winnebago that was stolen, along with the master tapes for our album and I’ve developed terrible ulcers, what do you you call them here, cankers, right? I always thought that Ravi Canker was a sitar player. Going on the road should come with a government oral hygene warning “The tour you about to embark upon may cause gum disease, touth loss and, of course canker.” I heard a ridiculous Hip Hop style radio add for some treatment for them when I got here, you can just imagine the advertising agency coming up with that turgid arse offering. They’d say something mind numbing like we’re going to put the “Hip in lip,” that is something that makes me sick as we travel around how everything and everybody is for sale, that’s bull shit, man. I just love playing live though, y’know? The road and the stage are my turf and if any mother steps on there while I’m in control then I’m gonna chop them down. I wanna have the first gig we play here to be in the 9.30 club in Washington DC. I’ve heard they have giant rats there who get on stage and jam with you. Apparently they live by gorging themselves off the rotting arses of the corpses that are pilled up out the back of the White House.
